Our collective goal for this project was to open up the once dark kitchen and create an open concept while integrating a large island to ground the space. We started by removing the wall that separated the kitchen from the living room. We reconfigured the layout of the kitchen to center around the picturesque window which once housed the sink below. We included a large pantry and coffee bar to take place of the large section of cabinetry that was removed when taking out the wall. Our clients materials and finish requests were white, marble and brass. By specifying a beautiful marble top and backsplash, it created a seamless transition and backdrop to the all white cabinets. We kept the hardware consistent in size with large brass pulls on all of the doors and drawers.
