[drop_cap style=”color:#16436f;”]W[/drop_cap]e know we know! It’s been awhile. We have zero excuses except for well…life. Katy had her second baby and Kat has been cooking her first baby and babies all around just got in our way from getting down and dirty on writing a blog post. But totally worth it, and now we have so many things to say. Or we think we do!

Finishing up 2017 and our 3rd year of business was straight NUTS. Our past, current and new client list kept growing and we are ever so grateful. We finished up some amazing KC projects, dived in on a few Vegas ones, and completed a Lake of the Ozarks condo.

We remodeled the main floor of this mid-century inspired home in Leawood around Easter of last year. We transformed the once black space by opening up the kitchen and dining room while highlighting the height with floor to ceiling ship lap, and painting all white with contrasting dark gray trim. Finished with textural woods, leather and funky lighting, we created a unique one of a kind space.

Left: Exterior view of the Modern Farmhouse we started end of last year. This is a full home renovation of the entire home, exterior and interior. Excited to show you all how we took a Victorian feeling Farmhouse and went Modern with it.
Center: Exterior view of the Lawrence Contemporary home we will be starting this year. This will be a full home renovation with minor exterior changes and full interior overhaul. We are going for a earthy contemporary with nature inspired tones and textures.
Right: Exterior view of the historical Ward Parkway renovation project we are beginning this year. This project will most likely go through the summer and is a complete overhaul of the home down to the studs. We are keeping the historical integrity with the detailed moldings, gilding on the entry and dining room trim, and overall footprint will stay the same. Stay tuned for insane progress shots of this project.

We started renovations on a Modern Farmhouse, a Lawrence Contemporary and an overhaul of a historical Kansas City Ward Parkway home. (Stay tuned for the transformation on all 3.) Talk about some killer collaborations with some amazing clients and friends!

Check out this masculine, dude approved, office we completed last year. Our client works from home and was in desperate need of an inspiring place to get stuff done. There were many parameters we had to work around such as his duel monitor situation, he wanted a desk that could adjust up and down, as well as a special place to store his cigars. Talk about a space you just want to chill (or we suppose, work) in!

We also gained an amazing assistant, Rebecca. She is the handwriting queen (no really…it looks typed), organizational guru and the left brain to our right brains. We are beyond thankful to have found her because that means we will up our game even more in 2018. Which brings us to this New Year—we always get re-energized with the coming of a new year. Like what goals are we going to crush? What projects will we stamp with Nest? In our 4th year of business, we can honestly and genuinely say this is a dream of a “job” (if that’s what the people call it). It’s a lot of hard work but we couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Let’s do this 2018—we are about to take you for a ride!

Oh, and stay tuned for super squishy amazing baby Benson photos to come soon!!!
